The story
The necromancer opens the black book and calls the spirits by name — and they rise to carry out his orders.
Once he was a man like any of us, but fate took his heart and he crossed the threshold between the living and the dead. Now even eternity falls silent before his throne.
Lyrics
Original Bulgarian lyrics with English translation.
Verse 1
Along the road of bones and tombs
and the oaths of dark sorcerers
the black book opens now —
a cursed fate is hidden there…
Chorus
Rise, spirits, wars are beginning,
hear me — I command you!
And as soon as he calls them by name,
they rise and march, in summer and in winter.
Verse 2
From bones he builds immortal cordons,
that is how he fills his legions.
And there, where life no longer exists,
a new episode begins for him.
Chorus
Rise, spirits, wars are beginning,
hear me — I command you!
And as soon as he calls them by name,
they rise and march, in summer and in winter.
Bridge
He was a man like any of us,
with an oath of honour and a fiery voice.
Fate gave him a heavy lot,
it took his heart and drank his soul.
He crossed the threshold of eternity,
beyond the world of the living and of death.
He returned with power, mighty and evil,
commanding the dead in darkness.
Finale
Rise, spirits, wars are beginning,
hear me — I command you!
And as soon as he calls them by name,
they rise and march, in summer and in winter.
When the necromancer sits on the throne,
even eternity falls silent before him.
From bones and shadow an army is born,
the ranks slowly vanish into the night.
Legends will whisper through the ages and the mist:
one ruler with a black fate.
Fight to the end, but just remember:
in the end you'll be one of us.
